Gili T part deux

September 5, 2012 by Beth Meyer

I woke up early on Tuesday and couldn’t get back to sleep, so I decided to go watch the sunrise off the shores of Gili T.

For the last night on Gili T, I went with friends, Lauren (who I used to work with and randomly ran into in Ubud…smallllll world!!) and Bart (who I met on my dive boat) to watch the sunset.

(Lauren, Bart, me)

The boat ride home back to Bali was awful. It took an hour and a half longer than it should have due to a broken motor or something and I got horribly seasick (thankfully, I didn’t throw up, but that’s only because I didn’t know which direction to aim without it hitting me in the face, ha).

Note to self, it’s best not to combine a mild hangover with a long boat trip. It’s not fun. Around four, I finally arrived back to Seminyak in one piece.

(me, Bart, Lauren – last breakfast in the Gili’s)

(worst boat ride ever!)

I got sick on the ride back to Bali too! Sad to report I threw up …in a ziplock!

    Hi Beth,
Glad there is someone else in the family that loves sunrises and sunsets as much as I do, and takes unending pictures of them. Loving you adventures. Take care, Ginny
