In Quito, I met up with Mark and Matt for a reunion. I decided to use some Starwood points so we could stay at the Sheraton Quito. It was great to be back at that wonderful hotel again (even though I didn’t get upgraded to a suite this time ;)). We decide to take full advantage of the sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, plush robes, slippers and soak up all the luxury while we had the chance.
(movie & bathrobe time!)
Mark and I had every intention of staying in the room until the late 4pm checkout and then heading to either Cotopaxi or Tulcan (Ecuadorian border city), but our intentions failed. As 3:30pm rolled around and we surveyed the room with our stuff everywhere, we decided that since we didn’t know where we were going, we were going to stay one more night. We enjoyed the Club Level evening buffet and then got bathing suits and robe’s and headed for an jacuzzi session. Being on the road, one thing is certain, I miss bathrobes. And baths. Best parts of all my Starwood splurges on the road.
(#SheratonToast – jacuzzi bound with vino; taken for a Sheraton promo, the wine for me was a prop since I’m not drinking quite yet!)
