Tomorrow I’m going to Paris! I’m so unbelievably, incredibly (insert one million adjectives here) excited! I haven’t been to Paris in 10 years; since I was on study abroad.
Once I arrive, I’m going to begin a three day Parisian diet of breads, cheeses, desserts and wine, which will likely have to be combined with lots of running along the Seine!

Ever since arriving in London, I’ve wanted to take a side trip to Paris, but for one reason or another (the main one being, I’m loving London so much, I kind of hate to leave) I had yet to take the plunge. Then, when I realized one of my favorite bands was closing out their European tour in Paris on November 20, I figured it was the perfect time for a trip. I saw Local Natives with a friend at their Brixton Academy London show and it was marvelous. Not to mention, such a rad venue!
I’m way overdue on checking out a new Starwood property, so I’m cashing in some Starwood points and staying at the Le Meridien Etolie. I can’t wait for the king sized bed, and the bath. Oh, the bath!

Once my train, hotel and Local Natives concert ticket were sorted, the next thing on the list was a baking class. After all, my main agenda items are to eat as much chocolate, pastries, bread and cheese as possible. I found a three hour technical macaron class at La Cuisine Paris – DONE! I’ve been wanting to learn how to make macarons, and a friend said he’d teach me, but with my beautiful KitchenAid mixer sitting in storage in Los Angeles, it makes it quite hard here in London to learn. Now I’ll have the basics of a technical background to build upon. Hellooooo, holiday themed macarons!
